A deep, warm, brick red sienna earth pigment with high opacity, lightfastness, and a very consistent and smooth texture.

The pigments ed to make these colors are specific to Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountain range. atural earth pigments have been mined from this region since the mid-1800's, and these colors are still unrivaled in intensity and richness. l three of M's Blue Ridge colors are natural iron-oxide pigments clay deposits that over time have been saturated in limonite, which produces a yellow hue, and hematite, which produces a reddish hue.
